Yvette was chosen to become the new face of Cache Cœur lingerie. Discover our radiant model, her world and a behind-the-scenes look at the photoshoots!
Hello Yvette, could you introduce yourself in a few words?
I’m a young Dutch mum, friendly, sociable, helpful, always cheerful and I love to smile. I’m always positive and professional during shoots, I enjoy working as part of a team and achieving great results together. I have long legs and, oh, I love pizza and pasta!
You are the new face of the latest lingerie and swimwear lines. How do you feel about it?
It feels really special because my little baby was still in my belly, so we did the job together! He was, and still is, adorable with me. It was an exceptional experience and these are incredible memories for me. I’m really happy with the result and the catalogue turned out beautifully. I hope my son will be proud.
What was your favourite piece and why?
The Cosmos maternity swimsuit is a beautiful design. It is comfortable and I felt sexy wearing it. I also love the Sydney swimsuit with its lace back and fastening at the neckline. But all the swimsuits are very comfortable and soft.
What is your best memory from the Cache Cœur photoshoot?
The pizzas at lunchtime… (laughs)
I love travelling and I had never been to Croatia before this shoot, so I can now add it to my list of destinations. The island of Brač was beautiful and we were very lucky with the lovely weather on a very large boat.
And the team was very kind and professional. We had so much fun!
How did you plan for your baby’s arrival?
My baby has two wonderful grandmothers. They both look after him two days a week, and my husband takes care of him for one day. I’m happy that my baby does not have to go to nursery at his age. In my opinion, that is the best option for him.
How do you manage your new life as a mum and a working woman?
I still really enjoy working after spending three months with my baby Barron. After three months, I felt ready to start doing photoshoots again. I was happy to fit into my clothes again.
I work in an office and I’m also a model. I like having a varied life. I think it is important to keep your own world as well as being a mum. I always wanted to continue working; being a stay-at-home mum is not for me. I created a blog to share my new life as a mum, where I share tips and experiences from motherhood.
My little family and I are also represented by the agency that gave me the opportunity to model for Cache Cœur.
I’m very proud of my family. We have had several opportunities for exciting jobs and, hopefully, we will be able to work on some lovely projects together in the future because my baby is very photogenic — although of course every mum would probably say the same about her baby! He is also very attentive to the camera. I think it is because we have been taking photos of him since he was born. His eyes constantly follow the camera and, whenever he sees it, he looks up with his brown eyes and starts smiling! He is a very happy baby.
What advice would you give to other pregnant women?
Being a mother is the best feeling in the world. Our lives change completely, and afterwards we cannot imagine life any other way. My life has changed and so have I: I am stronger, more confident, everything feels different.
The little things suddenly become very important, while the big things seem less important. Enjoy every moment of life.
Love and appreciate your pregnant belly because afterwards you will miss the sensations and those little kicks. His “little kicks” were actually more like “big kicks”, and they were wonderful to me — the connection is incredibly powerful. He was very active inside my belly; I think he was playing football, haha! Enjoy your pregnancy because it is a miracle of nature. Be grateful if you are able to experience pregnancy, and having a child makes you realise just how quickly time passes. Above all, always trust your “mum instinct”.
