JULIE & MOTHERHOOD:
"A few years ago I didn't want a child, then breastfeed even less. Then, one day, the urge to become a mother got stronger than anything. The birth of my son was my rebirth. He absolutely changed everything in me. I discovered myself a real passion for breastfeedingent as well as for maternity in general. "
The birth of little Léo (16 months) made his parents happy. They chose this name which they worshiped for its Latin meaning: lion. This first name symbolizes the strength and courage.
JULIE & BREASTFEEDING:
"Breastfeeding? The best experience of my life! "
"I’breastfed for 16 months and I plan to go until natural weaning (between 2 and 7 years). I was fortunate to have a smooth breastfeeding start. I had learned a lot during my pregnancy, whether through websites, books, maternity preparation courses, free meetings ... And luckily, given the little training of the nursing staff at the maternity hospital where I gave birth. However, I did encounter some engorgement treated with a maximum of feedings and alternating hot and cold. "
NON-SHORT BREASTFEEDING:
"At the outset I had set myself a month, then six, and then to get back to work. And off we go for a breastfeeding not cut short. I just followed my instincts and especially my baby. The benefits are very numerous, whether for mom and baby, it would be difficult to list them all. But for babies in particular at the health level, at the psychomotor development level, at the emotional level. And for mom, we could talk about, for example, the drastic drop in breast cancer risk. Not to mention the practical, free and ecological side. »
YOUR ADVICE FOR A FUTURE MOTHER:
“I would advise her to trust herself and her baby. And it is very important to surround yourself with the right people, trained in breastfeeding (particularly IBCLC consultant, midwives, etc.). But also with breastfeeding godmothers who will be there to support and help through their experiences. It could be a friend who breastfed, a sister or a colleague… ”
HAVE YOU LOST MILK?
“Yes especially the first 6 months, I had to sleep with a bra and absorbent pads. But it still happens during the day even after 16 months. "
"I tested the disposable and washable pads, I initially preferred the disposables for their very absorbent side. But now I prefer reusable ones because I have fewer leaks and the ecological side is important to me. "
CURVE ACCORDING TO JULIE:
"In my opinion, Curve is an innovative brand that combines the advantage of reusable pads with the financial and ecological side. "
