Prenatal yoga, a special pregnancy sport!

Le Yoga Prénatal, un sport spécial grossesse !

Contrary to what you might think, exercise is not incompatible with pregnancy. In fact, it can be beneficial for both the mum-to-be and her baby. However, it is important to choose an activity suited to your pregnancy and avoid overexertion or becoming too breathless. On this International Yoga Day, Cache Cœur recommends prenatal yoga.

Why yoga?

Yoga combines stretching, postures and breathing exercises designed to help create a sense of balance between body and mind.

It can help pregnant women experience pregnancy in a more harmonious and serene way. Its gentle and relaxing nature can help reduce stress and support overall well-being. Prenatal yoga may also help ease some common pregnancy discomforts, such as back tension, circulation-related discomfort and feelings of heaviness.

And that is not all! It can also be helpful in preparing for childbirth. By improving flexibility, body awareness and breathing techniques, yoga can help you feel more prepared and relaxed as your due date approaches.

These classes may be offered in maternity settings as well as by specialised instructors, either at home or in group sessions.

Our recommendations

At Cache Cœur, we want to take care of our customers, so here are a few useful reminders:

- If your pregnancy is considered high-risk, ask your doctor or healthcare professional for advice before starting.

- If you have never practised yoga before, it is best not to begin alone at home. A qualified instructor can help you adopt suitable positions and practise safely.

Remember to stay well hydrated and seek advice from your doctor or healthcare professional so you can enjoy physical activity during pregnancy safely.

To accompany you during your prenatal yoga sessions, Cache Cœur recommends its Illusion maternity line. Designed for comfort and freedom of movement, it includes a maternity bralette and maternity leggings, available in several colours.

The entire team wishes you a happy International Yoga Day!
